About Me
Growing up in Fiji I spent most of my childhood surrounded by the ocean. Fast forward 20 years, moving to Noosa … 1 husband and 2 children later, I’ve blissfully stepped back in time. Who would have even imagined that an insatiable passion for longboarding would uncover a slight talent for photography. Constantly learning, all I hope to do is to replicate what I can see in front of me .. the undeniable beauty of the ocean & all who are in it. This is my happy place.
I’ve met and been part of such an amazing network of surfers & legends, that I now call friends. I’ve gone from sitting quietly on rocks when the conditions turn on to now immersing myself in the ocean capturing and feeling that incredible stoke that comes from similar minded humans. It’s never work, it’s just fun. As soon as I hit the water, whether I’m surfing or taking photos I leave everything behind and I’m lost in the beauty of the ocean. At times the hardest part is deciding do I surf myself or capture the images of this unfolding day !!
The journey has led to editorials and photos in a few magazines … Surfers Journal, Carve, The Bay Magazine & multiple pages & editorials in Pacific Longboarder Magazine – huge hugs to John Brasen for seeing something in my images. Paid commercial shoots for various swim wear, skin care, clothing brands including Tall Poppy, Okanui, Inner Relm, Piping Hot, Noosa Longboards, Fondu Swim, Woven Palm. And even a wedding .. small yet it seemed to work !! And to those amazing individuals out there that have trusted me with their vulnerability and let me capture the beauty in their surfing … thank you .. the inspiration comes from everyone dancing in front of my lens and for that I am forever grateful.
